FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We are often asked questions about our service, pricing and products. Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions but if you any other questions we would be happy to answer them for you.
1// ARE YOU FULL TIME PHOTOGRAPHERS?
Yes we are both full time photographers who are dedicated to providing you with a professional service from when we first meet through to delivery of your images/albums and beyond. We hold public liability insurance and all our equipment is insured. We also carry back up equipment to all our weddings just in case.
2// HOW DOES YOUR PRICING WORK?
We offer one simple base package to suit various weddings and budgets. Any combination of the enhancements can then be added on to create your own perfect package. We are happy to help you with advice the number of hours you may need and which package may suit you best.
3// DO YOU OFFER 2 PHOTOGRAPHERS?
The base package includes Rachael as your photographer. If you would like to add a second photographer to your wedding coverage the cost is £250.
4// HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?
The number of images will depend on the length of coverage, number of photographers, number of guests and your individual wedding. We do not leave images out of your gallery just to provide you with a specific number of images. All the images that we are happy with will be provided to you. Typically, images that are not provided are those where a guest has walked in front of the camera, or used their flash to take a photo at the same time, those with eyes closed, or exact duplicates where we have taken more than one photo in succession.
5// WHERE DO YOU LIVE AND WILL YOU TRAVEL?
We live in Southend on Sea in Essex, but are happy to travel. We have covered weddings all over the UK and also abroad. UK travel costs are included in all our packages and we are happy to provide a quote for European/International weddings.
6// DO YOU EDIT OUR IMAGES?
Yes we personally edit your wedding images in our signature style. Additional advanced editing is available for an additional fee per image.
7// WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
We guarantee that you will receive your online gallery of your images within 6-8 weeks of your wedding date, but images are typically delivered much sooner. Your USB will be delivered to you once you have had time to look through your online gallery. Delivery dates may be sooner depending on our schedule. We only accept a limited number of weddings each year to ensure that we can provide the best service possible to our clients.
8// DO WE NEED AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?
If you are camera shy then definitely! The engagement shoot is a great time for us to get to know each other. You can get used to being photographed which will help you feel more confident on your wedding day. We keep the shoot fun and informal and definitely won't have you standing posing whilst saying cheese! We learn what you like (and what you don't like) when being photographed and you get to see how we work. It's great to grab a drink together before or after the shoot so you can update us with your wedding planning. Have a look at some examples of our engagement shoots here.
9// HAVE YOU WORKED AT OUR VENUE BEFORE?
We have worked at many venues, especially in the Essex area, and feature on some venue recommended supplier lists. We love working at new venues and as professional photographers find it refreshing to photograph in new surroundings. If your venue is one that we have not worked at before do not worry. We are experienced in working at new venues, exploring the light, finding the best locations for family photos and couple portraits and capturing the best of the venue that you have specially chosen for your wedding day.
10// CAN WE MEET OR CHAT WITH YOU BEFORE WE BOOK?
Of course! If you would like to arrange to meet up to discuss your wedding photography we are happy to arrange a meeting, and to answer any questions you may have. Many of our couples do live too far to travel to us so we are happy to chat on the telephone or via Skype. We love hearing all about wedding plans and ideas, and offering any advice that we can.
11// HOW DO WE SECURE OUR WEDDING DATE WITH YOU?
We require a £400 non refundable booking fee and a signed contract and then your date is secure. As we are only able to take one wedding booking on any particular date, we are unable to hold dates and can only confirm a booking once the booking fee and signed contract have been received by us. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before your wedding date. The contract is sent via an email link and signed electronically online. We currently accept payment by bank transfer, cheque or cash.
12// HOW DO THE ADD ON'S WORK?
Various products and services are included in the different wedding packages but if you are looking to add something extra to your package you can add on additional products or services. The price of these is listed at the bottom of the wedding package pricing page.
