Joanne and Marvin picked Ye Olde Plough House for their wedding and we were excited to be photographers again at this beautiful venue. The bride and groom both got ready at the venue and as the rain came down the plans for the outdoor ceremony had to be changed to an indoor one in the Elonas Suite.
Joanne and the girls got ready in a very busy bridal suite, along with her two sons who were all dressed up ready for their roles as pageboys. Debbie Lloyd did a fabulous job with the make up and helping out with buttonholes and fastening up Joanne's dress. Marvin's mother had created the beautiful flowers for the wedding which looked stunning, as did Joanne.
Once Marvin and his groomsmen were all ready they headed towards the ceremony room ready to greet their guests and wait for Joanne's arrival. Marvin was nervous before the ceremony but his face just lit up when Joanne and their boys appeared in the doorway.
After the ceremony we captured the group formals and a few bride and groom portraits using the undercover areas at Ye Olde Plough House to shelter from the rain, before everyone seated for the wedding breakfast. During the speeches, Joanne and Marvin's eldest son stood up with the microphone and gave a little speech which stole everyone's hearts.
Before the evening's dancing we took the opportunity to create some gorgeous couple photos using the rain as a backdrop, and also the huge love lights they had decorating their reception room, before a few fun shots with the guys and their cigars.
The rain may have changed a few things on the day but Joanne and Marvin still had a fabulous day and we captured images that wouldn't have been possible on a sunny day. The whole day ran smoothly thanks to the great organisation skills of Toastmaster Geoff Wilkins, who kept everything in order, and was lovely to work with.
Thank you to Joanne and Marvin for choosing us as their Ye Olde Plough House Wedding Photographers - here are a few of our favourites from their day.
