The Old Parish Rooms

An Autumn Wedding at Rayleigh Windmill and The Old Parish Rooms with Jen + Matt

Jen and Matt had their intimate wedding at the beautiful Rayleigh Windmill.  This unique venue only seats about 20 guests and was the perfect setting for their wedding.  Their colour theme of orange matched well with the autumn colours of the surrounding gardens, and I loved Jen's matching orange shoes!

After their ceremony and group photos outside the windmill, Jen and Matt took a walk around the sensory garden next to the windmill so that we could capture a few couple photos.  These two were so much fun and it was great to see their personalities come out in their photos.

Everyone then took the short walk over to The Old Parish Rooms, where champagne awaited everyone ready for the wedding reception.  More guests arrived after the wedding breakfast for the evening reception with drinks and dancing.  It was fun to see some of the guests sporting tie on beards to match Matt's own beard. Jen made the fabulous 3 wedding cakes, which were all beautifully decorated with autumnal colours and looked delicious, and Matt painted the canvas showing the two of them, with an area round the edge for the guests to write their messages on for the couple.  Such a lovely and personal keepsake from their wedding.

We had so much fun with Jen and Matt and we loved being their wedding photographers.  Here are a few of our favourites from their wedding.

An Intimate Red Brick Barn and Old Parish Rooms Wedding | Claire + Jack

Claire and Jack chose two unique venues in the Southend area for their simple and intimate wedding. Their ceremony was held at the Red Brick Barn at Sutton Hall in Rochford.  A beautiful blank canvas surrounded by a variety of backdrops for photos, including a beautiful tree-lined driveway, barn doors and shutters, a railway station, an old London underground tube train, and of course the colourful yellow fields.

Claire looked stunning in her elegant wedding dress, escorted by her bridesmaids in navy dresses carrying beautifully simple gypsophilia bouquets. After the ceremony, we went off exploring the grounds of the Red Brick Barn with Claire and Jack to capture some couple photos and take in the lovely surroundings.  The bright yellow fields made a lovely backdrop for the family group photos too.

Next it was on to The Old Parish Rooms in Rayleigh for their reception and evening celebrations.  Another stunning venue and totally different from the first.  Guests were greeted with champagne and a warm welcome from the staff at the venue, before sitting down for a few words from Claire's father, Jack and then Claire, before enjoying their wedding breakfast.

Thank you to Claire and Jack for choosing us as their wedding photographers.  We loved spending time with them - such a lovely couple.  Here are a few of our favourites from their day.
