A Lemon Wedding at Ye Olde Plough House with Rebecca + Rob

Rebecca was a bridesmaid to one of our past couples, Naomi and Rob, so when she got in touch to see if we could photograph her wedding to Rob we were thrilled. Their sunny June wedding was to be held at St Margarets Church in Stamford le Hope with their wedding reception at Ye Olde Plough House in Brentwood. Rebecca got ready at home and surprised everyone with their choice of wedding cars, especially the cadillac which matched the lemon colour scheme for the wedding day.

After a beautiful wedding ceremony everyone headed for Ye Olde Plough House for drinks and canapes out on the lawns and terrace, while we captures some group photos and couple portraits of Rebecca and Rob. The day ran smoothly with the help of Ted Prior Toastmaster, through the speeches to the cutting of the cake, which featured two sides. One decorated in white and the other in the Groom’s football team colours. After the first dance, the couple were joined by their family and friends for some irish dancing, coordinated by the irish band.

Thank you to Richard Hartley for second shooting, and to Rebecca and Rob for choosing us as their Essex wedding photographers. Below are a few from their beautiful wedding.

A Red Double Decker Bus at De Rougemont Manor with Jen and Nick

Jen and Nick chose the beautiful De Rougemont Manor for their wedding, with its very intimate rooms and stunning gardens. Once again the weather was very kind for us and we managed to make full use of this adorable venue.

As Jen and the girls got ready upstairs in the bridal suite of the venue, Nick, his parents and the boys got ready at home in Hornchurch and then travelled to De Rougemont Manor via a red double decker bus, following a route to the wedding venue which involved a very low bridge !!

The theme for the wedding was travel, and this was shown in the wonderful table decorations, a cake which looked like suitcases and a cake topper with Jen and Nick in diving gear (they both love diving and were planning on pursuing their hobby on their honeymoon in the Maldives).

Nick and the guests assembled in the sun filled ceremony room as Jen and her bridal party made their entrance to the beautiful music from a string duo and pianist, bringing a tear to many a dry eye.

After the vows had been exchanged and the ceremony concluded it was out to the enchanting Italian Garden for canopes and fizz, then into a few family portraits before taking the couple away for some relaxed portraits in these wonderful grounds, with a stop off at the big red bus for a few fun shots, with Nick getting behind the wheel (minus keys!).

After a lovely meal and some emotional speeches it was outside onto the decking to catch the last of the falling sunshine and capture some more photos of the guests enjoying the warm evening. It was lovely to see one of our past couples Karen and Ian at the wedding, with their two little boys who have grown so quickly since we last saw them!

Inside the reception room guests were dancing and having fun in the photo booth with Ste. Jen and Nick were also joining in the fun in some very unusual props!

All too soon it was time to say our goodbyes and leave the party and this amazing couple.

Thanks once again Jen and Nick for having us as your wedding photographers and we love the pics of your honeymoon :) x
