Elias Beach, Cyprus Wedding | Carly + Greg

Hi guys, Greg and I just wanted to say Thankyou for our amazing wedding albums. They are definitely a hit with the family too. I am in love with the mini mini mini books, such a clever idea and enough to give every guest a little reminder of our special day. Can’t wait until the new yr just to put up our calendar.
You have been so good to us, not just as our photographers but as friends too. Can’t thank you you enough for everything you have done for us. You are both so professional at your jobs and was the best decision we ever made choosing to have you shoot our wedding both here and in Cyprus. Much love,
— Carly and Greg x

From meeting Carly and Greg back in October last year, their wedding seemed to come round so quickly. After lots of chats with Carly and Greg, getting to know them and chatting about all the details for their Cyprus wedding, we were so excited to spend the day with them in such a gorgeous location. We couldn’t wait to get out to the Cyprus sunshine, especially after the rainy day we had on Carly and Greg’s engagement shoot. (go check it out if you haven't already!)

We headed over to Elias Beach on the morning of their wedding to meet up with Carly and Greg and all their friends and relatives who were chilling round the pool and having a swim in the sea. It was a beautiful day and we were told later that the temperature had reached 37 degrees! It was great that everyone could keep cool in the pool before getting ready for the wedding and it was such a great relaxed atmosphere.

After lunch the boys headed to the ironing room with their shirts, before getting ready in the boys room, whilst the girls were in Carly’s room getting their hair and make up done by the very talented Alisha and her team from Tips and Toes. They worked so quickly and all the girl’s hair and make up looked amazing. There was lots of excitement, especially when we could see from the balcony the pier being set up for the wedding ceremony. Carly’s little flower girl was so sweet and sat patiently with an ipad whilst bridesmaid Faye plaited her hair. I loved all the little details that Carly and Greg had spent so much time on, but especially the bouquets made of buttons shaped like lots of different sweeties, personalised for each of the girls.

Downstairs in the bar area family and friends gathered ready to walk down to Sunset Pier ready for their 5pm ceremony. Once everyone was seated on the pier Carly made her way through the gardens of Elias Beach to the ceremony with her bridesmaids, flowergirl, mum and brother. Carly looked stunning in her Mia Sposa dress as she made her way to Greg who was waiting for his first glimpse of Carly at the end of the pier. The beautiful ceremony was followed by drinks and canapes on the pier, cutting of the gorgeous birdcage wedding cake, and confetti where all the family danced their way up the aisle behind the bride and groom.

The meal and evening reception was held at Blue Paradise – a lovely outdoor area overlooking the sea and Sunset Pier, which had been beautifully decorated by Cyprus Wedding Touches. During the meal we took Carly and Greg onto the pier and the beach to catch some sunset photos before DJ Mike kicked up the music for their first dance. Their family and friends joined in soon after for more dancing into the night.

In Carly and Greg we have made two amazing friends and have loved every minute spent with them on their engagement shoot, Cyprus wedding and UK party, and it has been such a pleasure getting to know all their fabulous family and friends.
