Congratulations to Emma and Allan who were married at the beautiful Cas Senyor in Calonge, Mallorca, near to the popular resort of Cala D’Or. The weather was hot and sunny and we had a brilliant day with this fabulous couple and their family and friends. We absolutely loved being their Majorca Wedding Photographers.
Here are a few images from their beautiful destination wedding.
Emma got ready at a stunning villa just outside Cala D’Or, and just a 10 minute drive from their wedding venue. When I arrived the atmosphere was very relaxed and the kids were playing in the pool to keep cool before they got dressed in their wedding clothes.
Beautiful views from the upstairs balcony of the villa down to the sea. It was a gorgeous sunny day and set to be a hot one for Emma and Allan’s wedding.
Emma’s wedding shoes were gorgeous. Super sparkly and very high. I loved the details printed on the soles of each shoe to personalise them for their wedding day.
Emma having her hair and make up done with make up by Marta Lulu. She looked stunning with her dark smoky eyes and loose up-do.
Allan and the boys got ready at the Sentido hotel in Cala D’Or before heading over to the wedding venue. The boys had light trousers and white shirts with rolled up sleeves and no ties, which worked well in such a hot location and kept in with their relaxed wedding theme. Allan stood out as the groom with his bow tie and braces.
The couple had a classic Rolls Royce to take Emma and her dad to the venue. We also took a few photos of the couple with the car after the ceremony.
The page boy had a bow tie to match the groom with a short sleeved white shirt and shorts. Before he left for the venue he had a quick practice with the rings.
The wedding was held at the stunning Cas Senyor in Calonge. It opens as a restaurant and also hosts private functions and weddings in the beautiful grounds. The wedding ceremony was held in the courtyard which really was a magical setting. All the guests had fans on their seats which were needed on such a hot day.
The couple incorporated a hand fasting ceremony with brightly coloured ribbons into their wedding. The groom’s daughter and the couple’s brothers all gave readings during the ceremony before being announced as husband and wife, which was sealed with a kiss.
Emma and Allan also incorporated a wine box ceremony into their wedding. The wine was sealed inside a box, together with letters that the couple had written to each other. The wooden lid was nailed in place to seal it until the couple open the box on a future wedding anniversary when they can enjoy the wine and read the letters they wrote to each other.
The wedding car had waited outside the venue during the ceremony so that we could take some photos of the couple with the car, which was lovely. As we took the photos we watched the local circus convoy pass, heading out of town and on to the next one
All the guests moved to the rear terrace and lawn at the venue, so we captured a few photos of the couple in the courtyard before they went to join their guests. Emma and Allan are such a lovely, genuine, fun and loving couple and we had so much fun with them.
The couple had told us that the focus of the wedding was a relaxed family focused wedding with lots of children attending. They had provided lots of games and activities to keep them entertained and they had lots of space to run around in the secure gardens of Cas Senyor.
The gardens at Cas Senyor were perfect for the group family photos with the beautiful sea down in Cala D’Or as the backdrop in the distance. Emma looked stunning in her Enzoani wedding dress from Brides by Natalie in Liverpool. The bridesmaids summery pink dresses were from Asos.
When the waiter gives the special strawberry smoothie to the groom’s sister in law instead of the bride!
All the tables were set out on the lawn for the BBQ wedding breakfast. They were simply and tastefully decorated, featuring numbers in Spanish for the table numbers. The speeches were full of humour, emotion and tales of family and friendship.
A beautiful first dance by Emma and Allan on the terrace, where they were quickly joined by family for a group dance. Straight after that most of the guests were up on the dance floor dancing to all kinds of music, including one I hadn’t heard before called Chi Chi Wa which made for some hilarious photos and it looked like the adults and the children were thoroughly enjoying themselves. The music was provided by DJ Pedro del Rio.
The couple had a polaroid camera for guests to take photos with during the evening. As each photo popped out of the camera and developed it was added to the photo tree with a peg, which made a beautiful decoration as the night came and the fairy lights lit up the photos.
These guys from Cas Senyor worked hard all evening and joined in with the fun of the wedding, whilst serving guests from the huge paella dishes. They had three different types of paella for guests that weren’t keen on the traditional seafood variety.
