We first met Lauren and Paul at Julie and Chris' wedding at Orsett Hall, where they asked us if we would be able to photograph their wedding. We are so glad we said yes.
The wedding took place in Suffolk and was well worth the journey. Lauren got ready with the girls in a cottage next to the church surrounded by fields and sheep. Gypsophilia flowers, Vera Wang shoes and the most stunning wedding dress in pale grey were all waiting for Lauren as she had her hair and make up done. The little bridesmaids were so excited and couldn't wait to set off on the short walk to the church.
The emotional ceremony was held in St Boltophs Church in Iken, a very small, old and intimate church which was beautifully decorated (including the arch outside) with flowers, and music was provided by the fabulous ZHL string quartet.
The reception was held a short drive away at the Oyster Bar at Snape Maltings. As the guests tucked into hog roast and were entertained by ZHL Strings we went for a walk through the reed beds to capture some lovely photos of the bride and groom, and then back to the guests for some inpromptu dancing and great entertainment from ZHL Strings. The meal was finished off with the delightful naked cake made by Lauren herself, featuring different flavoured layers including banana and chocolate, together with macaroons that Lauren had also made.
Such a fabulous day and we are so happy to have been a part of the day. Thank you to Lauren and Paul for choosing us as your wedding photographers - it was amazing!
