Elizabeth and Paul held their wedding ceremony at the beautiful Our Lady Immaculate Church in Chelmsford, followed by their reception at Grange Barn in Colchester. Their wedding theme was couple’s walks and medieval band - combining two of their great interests.
Elizabeth’s aunt made her beautiful wedding dress and matching headpiece, which was definitely one of a kind, her mum was the creator of the stunning and colourful wedding flowers, and Elizabeth herself made the wedding cake.
All the tables featured walking shoes and boots surrounded by flowers as their centrepieces. Something I have never seen before and a lovely way to reflect Elizabeth and Paul’s love of walking and hiking. A string quartet entertained the guests as they dined in the barn, followed by speeches and then archery and mini jousting in the gardens.
Grinnigogs were set as the evening entertainment and looked fabulous in their medieval costumes with medieval instruments. They started with the music for first dance, followed by a group dance with all the guests, and then they moved outside the barn to entertain the guests as they enjoyed the last of the evening sunshine.
A very unique wedding with a lovely couple and their family and friends that we thoroughly enjoyed capturing. Here are a few from their wedding.
