When I have a camera in my hand I know no fear.

Hi, I am Rachael, an Essex Wedding Photographer and Portrait Photographer.  So what got me started in this photography journey.  Watching the fun being sucked out of my kids as they sat in a photo studio with fake smiles on their faces.  Admittedly in the early days I did have to pay my kids so they would let me photograph them, but they wanted to be outside, having fun, running around and playing.  By capturing photos of them like this I had photos that told a story about who they were, what they liked and most importantly photos that brought back real life memories.  Photos that could take people back to that moment and feel something.

That is what I love about photographing people.  I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I capture a photo of the bride's mother shedding a happy tear during the ceremony, knowing that the bride missed that moment but will have it in a photo forever.  This and so many other moments during a wedding that I am so lucky to witness and capture.  I love what I do, but I also love having fun, meeting new people, being a bit crazy (anyone I have photographed will agree with this one!), having a dance and eating cheese!  Whoever invented wedding cheese cakes - big thumbs up!

Travelling is big on my to-do list and I have been lucky enough to to have visited some amazing places including Hawaii, New Zealand, California, Australia, Singapore, Cuba and Dubai.  To be able to combine my love of travel and photography shooting destination weddings has been fantastic.  Not many people can say they photographed a wedding in an igloo at the top of a snowy mountain in the middle of a snow storm!  Or that they would do it all again in a heartbeat!!

It is more important to click with people than to click the shutter.

Hi, I am Stephen, and work together with Rachael to provide a second photographer to our wedding couples.  I love being able to capture all the wedding details, the guests relaxing and having fun and have enjoyed meeting lots of great couples along this journey.

I have travelled all over the world, but there are still lots of places I would love to visit.  It was a fantastic experience to photograph a wedding in Cyprus and I would love to have the opportunity to photograph more destination weddings in the near future.

I do try to get to the gym when I can, but one thing that keeps me fit on a daily basis is walking with my dog.  He would be happy to walk for hours every day if I could keep up with him!
